Trace Cotangent Curve

Move the green point around the unit circle to see the cotangent curve traced. Note the value of cotangent given as a ratio of sine and cosine. What happens to cotangent when the red point crosses the x-axis; what happens to cotangent when the purple point crosses the x-axis? When the purple point is at its maximum or minimum values, what is happening with cotangent? When the red point is at it maximum or minimum values, what is happening with cotangent?
To change the viewing window, hold the shift button and left-click to drag the graph or use the scroll wheel to zoom in/out. You can also adjust the axes by holding the shift button and left-click on the axis you want to change.
