Trace Secant Curve

Move the green point around the unit circle to see the secant curve traced. Note the value of secant given as the reciprocal of cosine. What happens to secant when the purple point crosses the x-axis? When the purple point is at its maximum or minimum values, what is happening with secant?
To change the viewing window, hold the shift button and left-click to drag the graph or use the scroll wheel to zoom in/out. You can also adjust the axes by holding the shift button and left-click on the axis you want to change.
